Newly released New World Translation still full of numerous errors and abuses

thought i'd start a thread discussing all the scriptures where the watchtower translation committee has taken liberties and abused verses they've translated in the nwt.. worst of all are the numerous places in the christian greek scriptures where 'jehovah' has been inserted where the tetragrammaton or any equivalent of it does not occur in any extant mss and where the context could just as easily mean, or even more likely mean, the identity being spoken of is jesus christ rather than the father.

although in many places out of the 237 in the nt where they have done this the identity is clearly or most probably the father (jehovah) as distinct from the son (jesus), there are dozens of occurrences where this is not the case.. here are a whole lot more scriptures abused by the translators of the nwt, copied from the freeminds website (article written j bowman, scholar):.

Data Dog I would love nothing more than to be rid of these idiots yet tonight we were looking for a car part and decided to check out our last resort who is only a three minute drive from us and is this stalkers return visit. The guy had to tell our stalkers(the guy in the car and the other elder who came with him was the one at the end of our lane) not to come back after ten years of being called on and studied with. I asked why and he said they told him we were slandering their congregation as well as the organisation and that my husband became extremely violent at the end of our lane that day and wanted to fight them. That my husband was too aggressive to be around and that they feared for their lives.

This guy knows us well and knew he could smell something was wrong so we told him our story and he said he was so glad to be rid of them. My husband is not a fighter. The one elder who put on a drama show at the end of our lane that day said they better leave because my husband was getting violent. My husband said if that's all what was needed for them to leave was to say the word shit then that would have been the first word to come out of his mouth. He then walked away from them waving bye bye telling them that they are the whores of babylon the great.

This man has four kids and he told these goons that he would never deny his kids blood and that he would never stop talking to his gay sister which they wanted him to do. I told him the one gal that told his wife that also has a gay sister which in all the ten years they have been studying with this family forgot to tell him that little gem and that she was on face book a few years ago sitting next to her at a family reunion. He said hypocrites! And this stalker/elder in the car also happens to be on the HLC which by the way couldn't fight his way out of a wet diaper when it came to explaining the blood fractions. Seriously, we had three talks about it at the meetings and each time they were done by other elders because this dummy could never explain it and was too scared to try.

At the end of the conversation this nice man told us he told them to never come back to his home and is now a lot happier for it. It must piss these elders off to no end to see they just lost six more potential recruits with ten years invested and another man in town with thirty years of being studied with as well. They were at his place three weeks ago trying to get him to come back to the meetings after thirty years of going but never getting baptised. These two elders went to this man as well and told him how it was a shame what happened to us but that we shouldn't be his concern and slandered us to him too. Both these men said they would tell the truth on our behalf if they were made to testify in court. Oh, and this man happens to be my husband's cousin which the elders do not know. He also has been on all the sites and is trying to get his family out as well. His wife has said in the past that it's only a social thing and that she doesn't take the org's crap serious. Yet, every holiday they go on is with the same bunch of worldlys. She's often said that she would never go on holidays with jw's.

Seriously, these uneducated elders must see they are losing valuable people at the doors if they spend all their moments victimising their return visits. Are they not the ones who say don't spend too much time debating when you could lose out on the next few doors with someone who might want to learn the truth? That satan is doing everything in his power to keep those ones from coming in to the cult.That's proof to me that these elders know that their organisation is a pile of crap and all that matters to these dummies are the labels and potential customers for their businesses but not the ones at the doors.

Loved it, Simon. If animals have food and there is no threat, they are awesome to hang out with. Each year we have a mama deer have twins in our bush. I caught hubby walking across the driveway with the chainsaw and who was following him a couple of feet away? The deer and her two babies. Our rotti didn't even care. He just watched. I've had a ground hog make a home in the dog kennel, a fox coming up to the back door, last spring I had a young buck stay for three weeks solid beside the house, I went up to an owl that was sleeping and took it's picture two inches away from its face, (Ill try and see if hubby can post all the owl pics I've taken that were right at the house) a horned owl right at my bedroom window, twin baby fawns at my kitchen window eating my flowers and staring at the tv,squirrels and chipmunks eating right out of my hands and the amount of birds that have needed help on cold cold nights. I can hold my bowl of bird seed in one hand and have about twenty chickadee and finches land on my arm. It's too bad we have to leave all this behind.

I did not see one jw there, not even her son or his wife. Pay attention all you lurkers for this is what your organisation is really all about. NO LOVE!!!!!! Only love for themselves and that's it.

This goes against the scripture to honour your mother and father. Another one of god's laws that were broken.

So true, Searcher. My rotti, I got at the pound and is soooooo sweet. His previous owners brought home a pitbull which they found on a website advertising "free to a good home". The owners brought it home and left him and my guy alone for the evening in their backyard and took off to a party. The SPCA was called along with the police. My guy needed fifty stitches and the pitbull had to be put down while still in it's crate. It was vicious. Both males were not fixed and two and a half years old. The humane society was willing to give this dog back had the owners came up with $350.00 which they did not have. Now he's ours.

I also took in a starving cat which I had found cuddled up to a raccoon who was hibernating in our barn. I started to feed her and had her in the house for one night and it was game over. Every night she wanted in so I cleaned her up and got her fixed. So lovable. I just don't understand how some can hurt animals, I really can't. Even the wild life will come to the house if they are not well or if it's too cold they are at my back door.

He was also the guy that stomped down the aisle after a Sunday meeting towards me with his bible opened showing off in front of others pointing and saying: see, the word governing body is in the bible. I looked at what he was pointing at and yes, those words are in the footnotes of the bible, not the scriptures themselves. I was embarrassed for him and just walked away. They really are clueless. Your right searcher, accept my Rotti would lick you to death before he would ever attack. He will go home with anyone. If you leave your car door open, he will jump in thinking he is going for a car car ride.

The night of the fire, he gave our friend who is captain on the fire department a special card identifying him as one of jw's. Our friend thought that was weird since that's why we have given names. No doubt the shmuck will use this as an assembly part as well as count his time.

His wife told us that pioneers deserve special perks and neither one of them ever liked service, when they were at the groups. She was the one that was yelling at my husband the one evening in the parking lot of the kingdom hall over something she thought she heard. Her husband tried to tell her she was wrong and to be quiet but she went nuts.She's the biggest gossip and is the queen bee of the hall.

He was the one that took all my so called accusers to a coffee shop before testifying at my jc, wanting to make sure they had their stories straight which they couldn't remembers. I was publically reproved for discouraging the young ones from pioneering six years ago.

It was his 72 year old non witness mother who's home had burned down. She was trying to stay warm and the heater caught fire. She lives alone and made it out alive. Now the community is having a fundraiser for her this weekend. So where's the love of the jw's????

He's also the one that told us in a meeting that the elders have no say on what they can do with pedophiles. We weren't even talking about pedophiles but how the territory was making comments about the one elders fifteen year old daughter being pregnant and why is he still an elder. That's the answer we got for that question. He's also on the liason committee. He has no clue how to answer the questions concerning blood fractions. I asked him to explain and he said if your hand was dismembered and laying on the ground you wouldn't let it stay there but you would take it with you to the hospital and let them sew it back on. Well, that's the same with the blood fractions. My husband and I just looked at each other and thought WTF????? You almost have to pity this guy.

Just the other day someone had come to us telling us this idiot told him he felt bad for what happened to us and that what happened to us shouldn't concern him. These elders forced their way into his home and ran us down to him and his wife and wanted dirt on us. They kicked them out and he hasn't been back to the hall nor will he ever go back after what they did to him and his family on account of us. So I wrote the RCMP and they advised me to get a lawyer. What these elders are doing now is called indirect stalking and can be charged if they don't stop going to others and talking about us. Yesterday I sent the letter that I wrote to the RCMP as well as their reply back and sent it all to this goon elder telling him this is the first and last warning they get or else they will be hearing from our lawyers. Had enough!

They don't even allow you to leave quietly even after you've been kicked out. My face book has all these apostate sites as my likes all for the world to see and they won't df me. But my husband walks away from them waving bye bye calling them the whores of babylon and he gets df'd. Go figure

it has an elderly sister talking about being old in this world...a long time pioneer who probably thought the end would have come years ago...as the society told her many times.. now she is told to be on a mission to get young ones to also pioneer, and watch for the not so subtle condemntion of higher education!.

sickening stuff........ they missed the obvious elephant in the room.... a life wasted on nothing...now she has no money, and lived waiting for a fairy tale!

It saddened me when I saw her. It reminded me of my seventy year old sister who gave her whole life, never married, lives in the lowest rental one room apartment. Not one visit from anyone.

An elder one time dropped off a piece of fish in tinfoil and couldn't stay. Later on the co asked her if she had received any shepherding calls and she said in all her fifty-five years of pioneering and special pioneering she never once had a shepherding call from any of her elders. A few days later, that elder that had dropped off the fish came with the co and was made to apologise to her for lying and saying that was the shepherding call. The co asked my sister if he had a bible, was wearing a suite and if he had come with another brother. She said no, nothing.

It kills me to think she is happy living like this. I have asked her to let us come and pick her up and she come live with us but she has already stated she has to follow theocractic procedure where she is not suppose to talk to my df'd husband. Wait until one day her loser elders tell her she has no choice but to have us look after her because those filthy rich elders won't Most of them own two properties and boats yet all they could give her for all those years of service is a chunk of thawed uncooked fish wrapped in tinfoil..
